Fat Ass to Fit

And were off… gyminee-pic
Recently I learned of an online Social Media site that is all about health, excercise, and working out called Gyminee. I had previously been using a site called Calorie Count but after comparing the two I found that I prefer many of the features allowed in Gyminee much better. I am glad that Corey Harris (@coreyharris) and Drew Griffin (@drewgriffin) took the time to blog/point out this great site.

If you have followed me at all in the past weeks you know that I have been working on getting healthier, changing my diet, and working out on a regular basis. So far it has been good, but the one thing I struggle with is staying motivated. I don’t have a “gym” buddy, in fact due to my ever fluxing schedule at work I am lucky if I even have my iPod Shuffle charged and ready to go which most of the time is the driving force during my workouts.  Nothing like getting lost in the music…
that is where Gyminee has stepped in. I now have a site to track my progress, interact and set goals with my friends, create challenges, and interact with others who share the same goals and problems as myself.
After a lengthy discussion with Drew about the site and a personal bet between friends we have begun a new project together, not only to keep us motivated, but help others with our unique situations as well. I’ll have more about this exciting new endeavor shortly, but for now we have started a new group on Gyminee just to get everyone started.
If you haven’t already sign up and add yourself to our new group Fat Ass to Fit. We already have a strong base, and are always looking for some new friends that are looking to get healthy, lose weight, or even just tone up.
