Alright, well here we go…
I went back to the gym for the first time in about 2 months today. I must say talk about rough. I am not sure what was worse, the fact that I put the weight back on, the embarrassment that I gave up, or the fear of looking like the chump just starting out again. Anyone of those has deterred me from going back in, but today I manned up and took care of business.
Now for the shocking part, after the initial unease of walking through the door, and stepping onto my first piece of equipment I felt like I never left. well, other than the fact that my rep counts weren’t near as high… still I didn’t lose much in the amounts I was putting up. That was a pleasant surprise, and one of my biggest concerns.
Another huge factor that really made me happy was the owner of the Anytime Fitness I use regularly had been helping me out before, and I was worried after I disappeared for awhile that he may not feel the need to keep on with the advice. Instead I was greeted warmly, and even offered to jump in on the next set in their rotation. Needless to say every time I interact with him my respect for the man grows in leaps in bounds. It is a great thing when you find people that actually care about the people, and not just the business side of things.
So getting down to business, I weighed in at 228lbs this morning, 3lbs more than when I started working out the last time. I have a goal, that is reachable, but no where near easy, and I have set myself up for success as much as possible. Huge changes will hopefully bring about even bigger results.
Wish me luck…

Good luck.
Knock it out bro! How are the work outs going? I gotta get started again. Gonna try and Journal mine again online.
Workouts are great so far, down 6lbs and I am already seeing results in my face as well as definition in my arms and legs again. I use Calorie Count to monitor my weight, exercise, and meals right now. It seems to be working pretty good so far. I love that they graph out your trends for you.
