The Zune Social 3.1

by AronPo on November 21, 2008

So the new Zune software was released the other day.  Anyone that knows me knows how much I love my Zune, and love listening to all types of music.  Microsoft has made it even easier for me to find new and different genres of music through the use of the Zune Social.
This software not only allows you to add friends, share and suggest music with fellow music lovers, but with the release of the new 3.1 software you can also get unlimited downloads each month, and keep 10 for free for the price of a CD.
If your a music lover at all; even if you own a ipod or other MP3 player I recommend at least looking into the Zune Social software as a way to expand your music network.
Below is part of an Email I received regarding some of the new features …
New Zune Pass
DISCOVER MILLIONS,
KEEP TEN.

Zune Pass just got better. With the new Zune Pass subscription, you can download all the music you like from our multi-million-song library and now you’ll keep ten of your favorites every month. Best of all, it’s still only $14.99 a month.

How Zune pass works

Unlimited music

For the price of just one CD a month, download millions of tracks from Zune Marketplace* whenever you want.

The choice is yours

All the songs are yours to keep as long as you keep your Zune Pass valid. Plus now, you’ll also pick ten of your favorite songs each month to keep forever. Just get a Zune Pass that’s good for either one or three months at a time. Charge it directly to your credit card, or enter a code from a prepaid card.

At home, at work, on the go

Songs you get with a Zune Pass can be copied to up to three computers and three Zune players, but they can’t be burned to CD. If you want to do that, buy those songs with Microsoft Points.

The Zune is looking more and more appealing to me. I probably buy at least 10 tracks a month and that means that I would essentially be getting the subscription service for $5 a month. Now if they would just release the Zune software for the Mac, I might actually buy one.
