Labor Day Weekend

by AronPo on September 4, 2008

Hey all,

The weekend turned out pretty good all things considered.  After having to work Friday night I was kinda concerned it was going to set the tone for the entire weekend.  We ended up BBQing and playing basketball in the backyard.  Devin was around for a little bit, and once again the stupid games followed suit. At least no one was seriously injured although Andy might be a little sore!

After being out of the gym for a week it felt good to be back and work up a sweat.  Ran 2 miles in 24 minutes which surprised after being so lazy for almost 2 weeks. I also found out  I can use my gym membership down in Westland near my friends house so I can still go on the weekends when I stay down there.  I try to get them to go with me, but so far haven’t been to successful.

Went out and bought luggage for my trip to Arizona in November.  I was just gonna buy a carry on, but talked myself into buying a set instead.  They’re pretty nice, and who knows, maybe I’ll be traveling a lot more if things pan out over the next year!  If not well… at least I have nice luggage.  Well I take that back, we are supposed to go back to Chicago in the next month so I suppose that I have 2 trips I can use the luggage on.

Alright, now for the good stuff, hopefully I will have time to finish tweaking this site tonight.  I am going to do my best to make it happen.  I also have another project I am working on with a few friends.  I have to give a big thanks to Jacob Burke again for making the idea come to life over the Holiday weekend!  After my friends agreed he was kind enough to throw together another Website that we have been talking about for a while.  It is still far from finished, however I am working to flesh it out as fast as I can.  We do however have several videos up and if I get a chance I’ll finish up the about me section there as well.

Well, that’s it for now.  I may do a Me Today a little later and let you know a little more of what’s been going on lately!

Have a great day!

We think very little of time present; we anticipate the future, as being too slow, and with a view to hasten it onward, we recall the past to stay it as too swiftly gone. We are so thoughtless, that we thus wander through the hours which are not here, regardless only of the moment that is actually our own.  – Blaise Pascal
